• Remembrances was written during the winter of 2018/2019 at my family home in Shelburne, Vermont. The piece seeks to evoke the emotions associated with different memories that come to light from the subconscious into the mind every day of one's life. Some memories are peaceful, some are happy, and others are sad and angering. Some of these more negative thoughts can even become obsessive. The juxtaposition of consonance and dissonance represents the different fleeting memories a person can experience, whether happy or sad, joyful or angering.
