Program Note:

• Trio for flute, viola, and harp was commissioned by the Connecticut Summerfest Contemporary Music Festival in 2016 and premiered by the Deciduous Trio. Debussy's and Bax's pieces were clear archetypes in the genesis of this piece. I deliberately sought to honor the Debussy trio at the opening with the flute solo arpeggiating an augmented triad; very akin to Debussy's harmonic style.
